Default What polishing pads?

What are the pros & cons with the three types of pads; wool, foam and micro-fiber? Looking to purchase some of
the best type.

I don't know the answer to that specifically, but I use the Meguiar's dual action polisher with their foam pads and I am very happy with the finished product. The foam pads don't last as long as I would like, but other than that I am very happy with the foam for application. I use microfiber towels for removing the wax/polish and for wiping down the car.

Malcom, I recommend reading the info at Detailed Image's web site. I successfully learned a lot about which pads to use when, how to clean the pads, even polishing techniques.

Hope it helps.

From what I learned, it all depends on how much paint oxidation you are dealing with, and what the characteristics of the compound, polish, sealant or wax you will be using are. There is no one size fits all approach here.

Depends on what you need to achieve. Then it's a question of selecting the appropriate [pad + compound] combination.
