Where did you drive in your XK8/R today?

Lucky you! Not so pretty, eh? But I have to admit the one I visited had accomplished some nice interior work for their waiting room (short wait!) and was a clean, well kept shop. Reassuring to me... Sandy
Beats my local MoT Station - it's like the Black Hole of Calcutta!
What's with the sitting in the passenger seat or standing in a box - exactly which emissions are they checking in the US?

On Sunday I took my wife to the Old Westbury Gardens in Long Island, New York. This place is literally a 3 minute drive from my home, so I can't write too much about the drive itself, except to say that it was a rather pleasant and short. Nonetheless, the location was a gorgeous place to take a picture of my Jaguar. My wife insisted on being in the shot as well
. I specifically did not take any pictures of the mansion or the gardens, as anyone can see it on the net. Here's a link, in case anyone is interested - Imagevue Gallery

Back in the driver's seat. Aaaaahhhhh. Just one more check and THEN I'll feel back to my confident, drive anywhere, just have fun vibe.
Meanwhile, here's a stop along the road I'm on often. Back road in the Livermore Valley in California. LOVE the livestock scattered about.
These fellows seem to like either the attention or the beautiful car that stopped to see them.

Went for a jaunt on The British Vintage Voyage (15th Anniversary) oranised by the Arizona Mini Club.
The Northern contingent met up in Tempe on Saturday morning and headed of to Tuscon to meet up with the Southerners.

Then we set off for a drive out to the AZ Hops and Wines in Sonita in the hills South of Tucson, with some nice roads on the way!
(They had an Octoberfest event going on)

We stayed overnight in Tuscon, and after breakfast took a tour of the Biosphere 2.

Then it was time to head back home just in time for the sun to pass under the yardarm!
Great weather and a good weekend.
Forgot the obligatary AZ saguaro cactus photo!

Today was a gorgeous (albeit brisk) lowcountry day driving across the Arthur Ravanel Bridge in Charleston SC heading to the British Car show - but top was down none the less. Love the double diamonds of the longest cable stay bridge in North America
