Wind deflector Jaguar XK8 1996-2005 with Spring system


will this deflector fit a 97 xk8? if so how does it mount? is there parts missing? Thanks for any help.

It looks similar in design to the one I just installed on my XK8, but there are some specialized hardware pieces that you would need for the installation. The price isn't all that great either; go on Ebay and you can find complete wind deflector kits for not much more than this seller is asking. I got mine from a site called Chromdesign.de; a German company. I have some minor quibbles with the design, but it certainly improves the top-down experience.

I have the same one. It is missing the brackets (4) which stay fitted to the car when it is removed.
It may also be missing the keys - mine was and although it's possible to remove the lock barrels and replace them with black plastic knobs, it's extra time and (a small) expense.
Although I'm in the UK so can't make a direct comparison, it seems a little expensive for an incomplete bit of kit.
Can post some photographs of the brackets if you're still interested.
