Default Windshield header trim removal ....

So, after almost giving up on the arcane naming conventions in the EPC, I finally found an illustration of the windshield top rail (under "convertible hood and seals"), but it is still not obvious how many fasteners there are and where they are. I'm trying to expose the upper latch mechanism and hoses to check for soundness and leaks (no evidence of any from casual inspection of the fabric up there).
I do plan on installing a pressure limiter back at the pump. 2004 XK8, 32500 miles.

All are obvious except for the outer ends. They are covered with the black adhesive which must be pulled back just a little to expose the Philips head screws.

Mine has a pair of black phillips head screws new the center latch, and at each outboard end, what looks like maybe a plastic fir-tree push button going through the rubber trim and the top rail finisher. I'm always reluctant to pull too hard on those plastic buttons for fear of permanently deforming them. Does that sound like the only four fasteners for a 2004 convertible?

No, there are also two additional Phillips screws hidden under the rubber as testpoint referred two. Scroll down to the 10th photo on Gus's hoses replacement page: JagRepair.com - Jaguar Repair Information Resource and you can see the position.

As for the fir tree clips, depending on the condition of the plastic they may be reusable or they may break. It is a buck or so at the dealer if you need replacements.

Wow, you're right! Those outboard screws are buried under a mile of black rubber trim glue. I had to use a dental pick to clean out the phillips slots so I could get my #2 screwdriver to fit.
Thanks a million for the help and encouragement guys. The good news; not a hint of leakage at the hoses or fittings. So, for insurance I'm going to buy and install the pressure limiter back at the pump.
