hi guys,just wondering if the back of the wing mirrors can easy be removed,2003 xk ,is it just a cover or the full mirror,just got a small chip on driver side ,not that bad but will bug me if i dont get it sorted asap, must have been done by passing car today and would rather respray it off the car as i hate the tuch up stuff or would i have to take the full morror off,if so how is this done,thanks,ps not foldaway mirror.

 

If you move the mirror glass all the way inboard you will two little plastic stubs on the back of the plastic cover, inside, behind the mirror. If you push on the center of them the cover will pop off, I just had one of mine off to replace a broken mirror, couldnt belive how simple it was. Hope this helps!
