Default Wiper arm foil

I think someone here once mentioned something about wind deflectors on wiper arms and I also noticed these listed in the SNG Barrett parts catalog I just received. I never noticed these on other XK8/XKR I have seen and wonder if they were a standard item maybe overseas but not here?

Anyway I used to have these on my old Audi and liked the look and was considering ordering a pair. For those that have them do they just basically snap on to the wiper arms?

Our XK8 does not have them....

Our S-Type has one only on the drivers-side wiper arm. The local Jaguar dealership told me that is correct, drivers-side arm only. I've never taken it off, but I assume it snaps into place because I've never noticed any screws....

My equivalent spec UK 4.2-S had one on the driver side arm only as did my previous 2001 XK8:

Ignore the Eezibleed bottle - this is the only close-up photo I could find showing the deflector!

I thought it was a standard fitting.....?

The deflector on my 2003 XKR is held on with a couple of tiny torx screws, not a snap-on fitment.

You need them in Germany. At higher speeds on the Autobahn the wiper would not stay on the windshield when used. Not that they are a requirement but many cars have them or you can get them after market.
