Default Wohoo! Kitty cat is back from the hospital.

Two months ago I had an accident and thought I might loose my car for good. There was damage to the left side wing, door, chassis and A-post. However it turned out my kitty cat had some lives left so a contract repair was done. Since it was going to the body shop I had them repaint the whole front of the car to get rid of the 110k+ road rash it had. I got the car back today and it looks and drives like a new now! I'd say job very well done apart from some minor things (missing XKR emblem under the side indicator and slightly damaged footboard which they didn't replace).

Looking good.

Did the body shop have the car for the whole two months or was a lot of the time taken up agreeing repairs with the insurers?

Ah, congratulations on getting your coupe back where it belongs. Mine will be off to the shop for some updates and paint in a few weeks.

It took about a month before they could start the actual works. Originally I was supposed to get the car back week and a half ago but it was delayed for some reason. They didn't tell me why. There were some nasty looking fault codes in the log so I'm guessing they encountered some electrical problems while doing the works. The CEL light was not on when I got the car so I just cleared the log.

Looks showroom new!
Have you thought about the clear plastic film they wrap the nose with for stone chips? I'm thinking about it since I had the body kit put on and nose reprinted.

Hmm.. Haven't really thought about it until you mentioned it. Guess I should do some investigation to see if I can find a company who do this sort of work. Do you have any idea what it would cost?
