WTB: Unusual Jaguar Dealer license plate frame
Ok, nothing on ebay.
We do not have a Jag dealer here locally anymore so I am not worried about offending the larcenous sob
So I am looking for a dealer surround bracket for the license plates, (front and back if possible, or one of each...as Enzo said in the early days, you only see one side of a car at a time).
Anything unusual, I'd love an F1 but I've never seen one.
I had a great one on an old Alfa I bought yrs a go that had Bob Grossmans Ferrari, Maserati Alfa Romeo.
Shipping from UK would probably be exorbitant but an English Jaguar dealer, Beverly Hills, Canada something unique....
EDIT: If I violated any forum rule by posting a Wanted To Buy I apologize in advance
darn newbies

I would offer up one I have here but first off its only 1 since we only have one plate, secondly its for an american plate. Not that fancy but still, Scottsdale Jaguar and well anyone in the US knows Scottsdale is the money pit of Arizona. I would have to look in the garage and see if I still have it saved (think I do) but your welcome to it.

The only problem is, if you get a UK frame, it won't fit a US plate.
uh...yeah ummm...I knew that! yeah I did....
I was...I was ..uh....I was just testing you guys to see if anyone here would be unscrupulous enough to try and trick me and sell me one of those things. I KNEW it wouldn't fit...yeah that's it....
Well no thanks to K.Westra that little test failed
Actually Keith, the car is originally from Miami..well first England...so that might be kind of full circle.
I'd gladly pay shipping etc.

Funny...the FIRST thing I do whenever I acquire a new (or used) car is REMOVE ALL dealer tagging. License plate frames, boot graphics / tags, whatever, it all goes. I have no interest in hauling their logos around.
That being said, we're all into our own things and I wish you luck in your search.

Call a dealership in Hollywood or wherever and tell them some SOB stole the tags and the frames and ask if you can get another.

Randy B...brilliant!
Coupe: What I would really like is a a tag frame similar to one that I had on the old Alfa. We used to do the same w/older american pig iron, find old plates from the year of production, (NY plates used to be dated and you can mount them in NY), and mount an interesting period dealer bracket from far far away on it.
Maybe you're right, but I am not as bad as a friend (who has several older MG's Triumphs Jensens..etc), who took a Mazda 929...a very non descript car, and added Quattroporte emblems on the trunk, old Ferrari Superlegerra script on the fenders and Dino alloys to the car...all in good fun ..if not necessarily in good taste. The car always attracted lookers
