That is such a wondrous story, XK_SL. If I didn't know better I'd call BS on it XK. Congratulations. And a very nice looking car.
I've got 2 very small E-type models and my Matchbox D-type since ~'65. No Silver XK-Coupe' yet.

Default 67 and just got another jag.

I have had my 2004 XK8 vert for 2 years, and just put her to rest for our Canadian winter. I just couldn't abide going ba kto driving a minivan for 6 months, life is too short. Went out to pick up a few grocerys 3 weeks ago and came home witha nice black 2008 4.2 S-Type. I know not the best Winterbeater but will have to do. Spoiled f

Yes. Gotta' have an 'SUV'. The '88 Olds Wagon serves well in my case. Enjoy the cozy S-type, daro31.

62 and just retired. This will be 24 years of continuous convertible ownership.:
1985 AMC Alliance Red/white top
1978 Triumph Spitfire BRG/BLACK top
1998 BMW Z3 2.8L Boston Green/Tan top
2007 BMW Z4M Interlagos Blue/Black top (Carjacked and shot - insurance totaled it because of blood and evidence impound time)
2008 BMW Z4M Interlagos Blue/Black top
1997 XK8 Cinnamon Red (I think)/Tan top.

There were some gaps between some of the cars, but I still have the Spitfire, but is only a reminder. The fastest convertible was the Z4M. The most fun was the Spitfire (It had 3 fuses and 1 was for the radio!), but the best looking has to be the XK8. Only owned it about 3 months, but had to have it. As soon as I saw it, the deal was done.

Pardon the duplication in the signature block, but the mobile version of the site won't allow editing.

Now you young Guys are trying to make me feel old! I bought my first Jaguar in 1998 when I was somewhere around 60. My Wife and I visited London that Spring and I saw a British Racing Green Coupe driving down the wrong side of the Street! I remember it today as it was the first XK Coupe I had ever seen and when I returned to Houston, I bought my first Coupe. Since then, I have been the happy owner of that 1998 Topaz/Cashmere XK Coupe, a 2000 Anthracite/Charcoal XKR Coupe, a 2003 Ebony/ Cashmere XKR Coupe and my current beautiful Ebony/Ivory 2005 XKR Coupe, which I still drive each a every day to the Office at 80 years old..............That should beat out 99% of you Kids!

Nice!

You're only as old as you feel! My dad has become really taken with my XJR having driven it the last few weeks; so he might be a Jag owner again . He's only 63.

67 next month, my 99 xk8 convertible is my first british (ford?) car. I have alwasy shyed away from them, till now. This has been my first project car in years...i have owned 31 cars to date and have three now . I have enjoyed fixing all the deferred maintenance, defects, and normal things on this car and driving it. I fell in love on first drive...it's not like anything i have ever had before and I find myself wanting to take it out while neglecting my other cars...it's that great a car. @43,000 miles now and going on 18 years old!

I turned 60 less than 2 weeks ago. I've had the XKR less than 2 months; it was a birthday present from my late father.

WA, Thank the good Lord for your Dad! I hope that sometime during his life he had something to be as proud of as you are with your Jag!

I got my first Jaguar XK Coupe in 1998, after a trip to London! I was waiting on a Bus and saw my first Coupe (British Racing Green) driving down the wrong side of the Street.....been sort of hung-up over them ever since......My 1998 XK was Topaz with Champagne interior......That's the one where the Guy chased me down because his Wife had to have it.....Only had it until I got the 2000 XKR. I had to wait 6 or 8 months until I found the one I wanted up in New York City....Anthracite Mica and Charcoal... I guess I was about 62 when I got the 1998...I had a Lincoln Mark VIII Coupe that I traded for it...

Hope you are enjoying your trip!

Billy Clyde
