Default XK8 1998 Climate Control Module location

I've been searching for the location of the Climate control module and can't seem to find a clue of it without tearing the whole console apart. The diagrams appear to indicate it's behind the radio cluster - can anyone pls confirm before I waste more time and disturb things I don't want to disturb - many thanks in advance.

my 98 wiring sheets say it is located to left of body processor mode for LHD cars and does not move for RHD so then it is left of the major instrument pack, but likely at knee height.
I'll look on my 2001 tomorrow if no one responds with good info.

I parted out my car and IIRC this module was removed from the passenger footwell area. I would have said it was to the left up against the center area, or else just kind of behind the glovebox once it is removed.

That's the opposite of what stevepaa says above, and my memory isn't good enough to argue about it. It was one of the earlier things I pulled, so I don't 100% recall.

Those modules under there weren't too tough to get out, whichever side. But you have to take off some fascia and such first. Easy enough if you have the JTIS. Although you have to contort yourself a bit to get at them. I often got in headfirst and put my feet up on the seat while lying on my back. PITA.

I think CyJag is correct and it's just to the left and behind the glovebox. I recall finding it when I was trying to trace the CAN Bus wiring.

Sorry for posting the wrong info, I was thinking of the S-type, not the XK.

Thanks for looking, I should have described it in more detail:

Jaguar XK8 1998 - Right Hand Drive Version.

From my observations I think you are describing the body processor module which is housed in a diecast aluminium housing, the climate control module is in a pressed metal housing and is not behind the glovebox or above the drivers footwell.

The only place that remains is behind the radio, behind the instrument cluster or aft end of the centre console.

Thanks

I'm sure it's not in the same place in the RHD cars, but somewhere near the center console, I should think.

Thanks Gus - I think you may have hit the spot.

From the diagram it appears to be located on the right side of the centre console, but as I can't see it from the footwell I'm guessing it's located higher up behind the LHS of the instrument cluster above the radio stack - I do appreciate your assistance, many thanks, I'm not looking forward to the exercise ..
