bought 2002 xk8 4.0 conv. knew it needed some work did not think it would be cheap to repair had to replace missing air bags and sensors, abs traction control lights, ck engine light, seats inoperable, and the dreaded green shower. Replaced both air bags and sensors from junk yard 319.dollars, had abs module repaired 45. dollars, repaired both seat modules free fixed both headrest cables free. replaced thermostat that was stuck open 25 dollars. capped off latch hoses and replaced header head liner still have power top with manual latch will get to hoses sometime cost 25. dollars thank you for all of the threads with videos and instruction total cost for all repairs 414. dollars now have 71000 mile clean xk8 with no issues for now for short money

 

Cheap to fix - that's not a phrase we see here very often!
