XK8 Convertible Parking assist speaker location?
HI everyone....
Aside from removing the engine, transmission and wheels, I have been looking all over my 2001 XK8 convertible for the parking assist speaker.
Since mine is not working it is hard to tell where the sound should be coming from.
The threads on the other vehicles mention parcel shelf, but the convertible obviously does not have one.
Any help is appreciated !!!

Yes, under the squarish panel between the rear seat and the center console. Just yank it straight out...you have to pull fairly hard.
Amazing !
It was Exactly where you said it was ! Held in by velcro.
After removal found out the coil was open. I will find a suitable replacement somewhere.
Thanks SO much for your input!
Cheers

Final Note:
The speaker is 50 ohm impedance rated at 0.2 watts.
If you are careful to open the plastic case it comes in, you can find a replacement speaker element for 89 cents ($0.89) from All Spectrum Electronics (www.allspectrum.com) on the Internet.
I had a 32 ohm speaker in my junk box and soldered it in. It is working now.
