XK8 convertible repairs and ugrades
Hello
I've been repairing and upgradeing my 2004 xk8 convertible since bying it in May of last year. Bought the car with vandalized body that had been wrapped. It had had a small front end crash also. Otherwise in relatively decent condition.
So far, repaired gearbox hose leaks, bodywork and paint, some electrical issues with the left door microswitch, suspension bushings and tierods etc. and a little interiour touch-ups. Upgraded to bluetooth süstem with original radio, amp and cd-changer, roof system to be opened with the key fob, brakes, exhaust to only adamesh stage two (without the stage 1), adamesh lowering kit and 1'' wheel spacers.
Still need to work out some minor electrical issues, repair or change the air conditioning unit and other heating units, repair the roofliner and refresh the roof itselt.
Some pics of the car.

The roof opening and closing system with the key fob is epic, such a good upgrade! Took a few hours to install, but got it right the first try, just had to follow the instructions to a point.

Hey, the cold start sounds much better than than with the original exhaust, when the car warms up, it gets very quiet again at idle, but as soon as you step on the gas, it makes a nice smooth growl, much better again than the original exhaust.
I personally like that it's still a quiet system, but I can understand if someone prefers to go louder with 1+2 stage, since only one stage, either 1 or 2 does not increase the noise in the cabin almost at all while just cruising. The growl that you hear once you step on it is just temporarily increased noise, therefore nice and what one is going for anyway.
I have to say that the comparisons on Youtube are somewhat inaccurate and seem to show the systems louder than they actually are.
