XK8 Power steering pump ?
Well, My power steering pump is trash. I tried just installing a new gasket on the pump but it ended up turing my garage floor into a 'slip n slide'. The new pump is on its way but I am having a very difficult time removing the hose that attaches to the bottom of the pump and runs toward the rear of the car.
ANY HELP PLEASE ??
Does this require a special too ? I just simply see two nuts, one smaller, one larger, directly on top of each other where the hose attaches to the pump.

If that is the outlet hose that you mean, it is a length of metal tubing mated to a hose. The smaller nut is the one you need to turn, while holding the larger from turning. If they both turn, then you'll kink the tubing. Spray that tubing and small nut with the penetrating oil of your choice and hopefully you can free it up. JTIS shows either a washer or o-ring in there but doesn't label it, so watch for it.
And, so......what happened?

That said, how did you get to that fitting? Did you loosen or move the pump to get at the HP hose fitting, or did you have a leprechaun get under there with a tiny wrench?
Ken
So, what did you do?
How did you get it off?
Did you have to remove the bolts and turn the pump so you could get to the flare nut first, or did you do it with the pump still bolted on?
How and what kind of wrench did you use?
Then, how did you get it back on??
Thanks,
Ken
