Default XK8 shifter knob

Hello everyone!
Proud new owner of a 2004 Champagne colored XK8 Convertible, one owner Florida car with 55K on it. I had some mods done from Mina Gallery (Pedals, chrome dash gauge trim rings/shifter, mesh grill) yet I'm not crazy about their shifter knobs. I def prefer wood ones but not sure if I should get one with just the jaguar face or the whole jaguar feline. What do you think? Or is there a better one you absolutely LOVE!? Here's some nice one I liked on eBay:

I have the knob in the second link you posted - a *very* good friend of mine bought it for me as a (helluva nice) gift.

it fits perfect (untighten the collar under the existing knob and spin the old one off), and its a perfect match to factory knob and looks and feels fantastic!

I like the Growler styled ones (face) more than the leaper. Make sure you get one from chap71. Saul Chapman (from British Autowood) is a master and his products are top quality.

I've been eyeing this one for a while, but right now my wife doesn't understand why I need to change, so I'm just waiting right now

Thanks guys! Funny those two are definitely my favorite knobs - just stunning. I'm going to wait a day and see if anyone else chimes in with something to challenge those two.

Cheers,

I have the growler, but anything looks better that the plain ugly original. Mine was all cracked so it needed replacing.

I went with the style found in the 2007 X150. I liked the shape of it.

I got this one from British Autowood -

JAGUAR Wood Walnut Burl XJ8,XK8,XJR,XKR,XK,S-Type R,Super V8,Gear Shift Knob | eBay

It's a little pricey, but I think it matches my interior wood better than the original one and I love it.

British Autowood is indeed top-notch. I ordered one of Saul's Coventry knobs to match the special Elmwood in my wife's 2006 Victory Edition XK8 back in October 2012. It was a perfect match, she loved it then, and she still loves it today. I have held onto the factory Victory Edition leather knob but there is no way it is going back on the car as long as we own it....

Plus one for British Autowood. Ironically I am in Britain and had to order from states. These look far more original than the original, if you know what I mean.

A little party trick I do is point to the shifter/gear stick area and ask them what bit is not original. Out of 6 or 7 I asked not one thought it could be the burr wood knob.

His service is pretty good too. It took just a day to come from the states to the UK but 4 days to get from London to my home. The quality is excellent too. Highly recommended.

Made my own Pool Ball knob. Jacksonville Jaguars Logo ball with a timesert installed. Feels great...got a vintage hotrod vibe to it.
