I’d like to do a polished wood version at some point..I think that would look very nice. Any issues with the reflective alloy?

 

Saul, keep us posted. A polished wood shifter surround would be extremely popular as long as it is durable enough to hold up in that area....

 

One very minor downside, in a very sunny environment, the shiny reflective cover reflects light directly into the drivers eyes. Not a problem, if you’re wearing sun glasses, but at night the reflected lights can be annoying.

This has never been a problem to me, but I have a coupe with the alloy cover installed. I don't recall it being a problem when I had the convertible with it installed.
