Default XK8 signals problem

When I have the headlights in automatic mode (third click) if I signal force right turn the head lights go out. It works fine if it is in manual mode (second click).

Charlie,

You can solve 2 problems here by using only the standard light position: "2nd Click"...First is the Turn-Signal problem you are asking about and number 2 is your Battery!
I like to watch the "Your Lights are off" signal in the late afternoon.....Just pulling your chain Charlie!! But really, That's what I do!

Default Maybe check the wiring/soldering on the unit

Charlie,

Is this the same problem you had 3 years ago on you MY99 XK8? Well the turn/light indicator stork is Part no LJB6455AA and I attach a pic of it (from our Forum Sponsor SNG Barratt).

As this part was really expensive, I took the scrap one from my donor car for my fix 2 years ago.

Worth just checking the wiring to the connector and soldered joints on the exposed board. I never took mine apart, so I have no idea if the stork's internals are accessible without cracking the old plastic body. I suspect there's a rotary switch inside that just needs cleaning.
