The transmission finally got to the point where something had to be done, so I bought a 2004 trans out of a grand plaz with 55000 miles. Installed it in my 2003 xk8 with little problem in little over a day. Changed oil filter and added fluid. Started the car for a test drive and got check engine light and transmission fault code P0610. Seems the dcm must be reprogramed. Anybody know anything about how that is done or who can do it besides the dealer? Any info would be great.

 

Many independents have software capable of reflashing. Check your local foreign car specialists.
