Default XK8 wheels onto an XKR

Does anybody know if I can fit a stock set of early XK8 wheels (rims) onto an XKR, Mine is a year 2000 XKR with the standard not Brembo brakes.
I was looking at trying to find a full set of the old revolver 17" rims to fit but am worried if there is any offset I need to consider and also the brake disc diameter. I am kind of hoping that both the * and the R use the same brake disk and the same wheel offset.
The whyfore is I need winter tyres (snow) and its a bit of a game and rather pricey to get them for the standard rims on my XKR

The XK8 has 300mm rotors, the XKR 325mm (about an inch)....however; I don't know if 17" wheels will clear.

As you have standard brakes, yes they will fit, I have an XK8 here with a set of revolvers on it and there is plenty of clearance even allowing for larger discs.

They will be coming off as a set of 20" Selenas from the MK2 XKR will be going on, so if you are after a set I might be able to help you out.

Whoa, somebody looking for Revolvers? In my opinion, they are by far the ugliest stock wheel for these cars (They look pretty good on XJs though)

Do you actually like the look, or are you just looking to downsize the wheels? If it is just to downsize, may I suggest the Lamina wheels:

I must admit I like the Lamina wheels also, they are like a Detroit but without the PITA stainless trim.

Revolvers are hard to sell on normally, what I do is bore the middles out so they can fit onto XJSs, those guys love 'em

I think they look pretty good on XJSs too. I just think they are too bulky of a wheel for a car like the XK8.

I'd still look for Laminas as I don't think they would be that much more expensive. I guess I'm just vain

Thanks guys, Yeah, I am simply looking to downsize, I really like my wheels, but trying to get winter tyres, I could buy a small family car for the same kind of money... This snow was a killer and next year it looks like winter tyres will be compulsory, the narrower profile on the KX8 should come in cheaper. Its just for the snowy months.
XKRacer. let me know if you decide to whip yours off. I will be very interested
