When your XK8 or XKR was handed over to the original owner, it had a set of handbooks and supporting literature known as the VEHICLE LITERATURE PACK. Over the years, some or even all of this may have been lost.
After difficulty finding a download link to the right handbook for my car, I thought it could be useful to bring all these documents together in one place.
Available for download covering Model Years 1997 through to 2005 are 32 individual PDF's for US vehicles and 44 for UK vehicles (see Index below for details).
The VEHICLE LITERATURE PACK contents vary according to market and vehicle specification. It's stored in two folders:
Driver's Literature Pack (brown or green folder in the glovebox)
1. Driver's Handbook
2. Quick Reference Guide
3. Security System
4. Sound System
5. Telephone (when fitted)
Vehicle Care Literature Pack (black folder in the luggage compartment)
1. Vehicle Care Handbook
2a. Passport to Service (US only)
2b. Total Care (UK only)
3. Maintenance Schedule (UK only)
4. Service Record & Warranty Booklet (UK only)
5. Navigation System (when fitted)

From the appropriate Index, identify the PDF you need for your Model Year in the 'Description' column and click on the link in the right hand 'MediaFire Link' column to go to the MediaFire download. Repeat the process for additional PDF's.
REMEMBER
1. new members with less than 10 posts and 3 days of membership (both must be achieved) cannot download or view 'attached' documents.
2. the PDF's are Adobe Acrobat format and you will need an Acrobat Reader to open them. This is available as a free download from Adobe - Downloads

My XK8 like many others lost it's drivers handbook somewhere over the years. Does the 2000 U.S. drivers apply equally to the 2001 model? Thanks for the help.

Thanks for putting these all together. I'm having difficulty downloading the MediaFire links. It tells me "something must be missing" each time I try to access a file. Is there a password or an authorization I need? I'd appreciate any help.

Hello Graham and many thanks for your brilliant list of documents for the UK and USA models of XK8 and XKR (and others). I am trying to complete the set for my XKR 2000 Convertible, but am a relative new member of Jaguar Forums so have only posted 4 times (including this one). I thought I posted yesterday here but I can'rt see it (I did hit 'submit reply'). Am I right in reading that I need to post 10 times before I can access the pdfs you have listed in your master document? Or do I also need an account with MediaFile?

I dont think the mediafile links work anymore. Numerous people have tried recently but there has been no update by anyone about why they aren't available.
which files are you having issues downloading? I was just able to download the XK8 Parts File 1 pdf. When the mediafire link opens, it should bring up a selection showing the file and allowing you to download

Can't get any mediafire link.
I can get the .pdf with all the mediafire links downloaded, but when clicking on any of the actual links this is what happens:

Thanks AbnMike. I'm getting contradictory messages in these forums, some say they can access, some say they can't. The 'rules' say there are two criteria, number of posts and length of membership. I'm going to keep trying to get access to these docs as I need some of them. Yours, Ewan.

I have 118K posts and been here since 2007. @sklimii are you still able to access the files Steve?
@Norri I can access a few of the files but looking at the files I can't access, I am going to reach out to the individuals who posted them via mediafire to see if they can get access restored or least push the files to me so I can get posted
Many thanks sklimii. The one I cam looking for is a bit obscure, it is the in-car telephone guide for my 2000 model XKR, which has the StarTack removable mobile phone. I still have the phone and it still works! According to the table from GGG /Graham, it is JJM 10 31 18/901. Yours, Ewan.
