Default XKR 1982 Engine cut out

150,000 miles of wonderful experience with my cherished XKR convertible,
Recently , Unfortunately engine will cut out without warning,
Stop for a minute or so,
re-start,
Immediate response, sings like bird for an unknown distance, could be one mile or 300 mile,
For example,
We have travelled 200 miles on Motorway, on approach to roundabout at end of motorway she cuts out,
Please, suggestions of cause or what to replace would be much appreciated
Has been regularly serviced at Jaguar dealership
john

Welcome to the forum John,

I thought '1982' may just be a typo in your thread title but see it's the same in your forum profile ..........?

Almost certainly a problem with the flux capacitor.

I'd vote for electrical issue, probably a ground, perhaps more than one. I don't know where the ground connections are located on the 82 model.

John, please update your car's details so that we can avoid confusion and help you find the problem.

Read the OBDII codes and post the codes along with your car info.

In 1982, British cars did not use grounds or relays. The electricity flowed through the driver........be cool......Mike
