XKR 2001 Conv Rear Bumper
I did mine recently, its not that difficult. If you're taking it all the way off, you'll have to disconnect all of the little backup sensors. (if yours has them)
(1) Just behind the rear wheels in the fenderwell, you need to remove those 1/2 size plastic pieces. Screw caps only.
(2) on the inside of the bumper cover, behind the rear wheels, there is a slotted guide that the bumper goes in. It is secured with one bolt, just loosen so the cover can slide easily back and forward. Mine was really gummed up and stuck, so you may have to loosen with some wd-40 or soapy water.
(3) there are two large bolts that thread from underneath the bumper, into the impact 'shocks', can't remember the technical term, sorry. Just unscrew those all the way.
(4) slide the rear bumper directly away from the car. (get someone to help, it is awkward to control once it releases from the side skirt guides.)
Easy sneezy.

I was able to remove my bumper, set it on a stack of milk crates behind the car, make my 'repairs' on the car, without removing any lights or backup sensors in the process. Good luck.
