XKR 2003 Engine Check Light on. Can I check solution please?
Hello guys (and girls),
I just wondered if someone could offer me some advice please, regarding my 2003 XKR and a couple of faults that have appeared recently...
I have had this car for about 15 months, and just recently, the Engine Check light came on.
This seemed like a good excuse for me to buy one of these OBDII diagnostic kits that I have been meaning to treat myself to, so I bought the Auto Enginuity along with the Jaguar add-on, and gave it a whirl
Anyway, it came back with a couple of DTC codes, and I just wanted to see if you could offer any advice please, and see if my plan of action should be roughly what is needed?
Here is a picture (sorry for the poor quality) of the screen report:

So, it looks like P1646 seems to be the Engine Check Light culprit (would I be right in saying that?) Would it be OK to drive the car (with care) with this error? (basically to take it to a garage, which could be upto 30 miles away)?
I am assuming that this is a simple enough fix, to replace the faulty o2 sensor?
Secondly, the C1446 error code appears to be a faulty Brake Light Switch (which would make sense, as I have been having intermittent "Check rear lights/Cruise not available" warnings for a few weeks now, but never had time to get it looked at.
Again, this seems to be a fairly straightforward fix, in replacing the Brake Light Switch (though appears to be quite tricky for a novice to do, so I will ask my garage to do both fixes).
I am assuming that the P1000 is because the Auto Enginuity was not able to do a complete scan (something to do with having to short pins 7 & 15 to complete the scan)...but I think that is more an interface (AE) problem, and not my car, so I am not too concerned about that, for now...
So, any advice would be gratefully appreciated, but would what I think be the likely culprit for both of my faults?
Many thanks for the help. Very much appreciated.
Cheers,
Kevin

P1000 is not a Trouble Code. It means "Emission Monitors Not Complete".
P1111 is Emission Monitors Complete".
After Clearing Trouble Codes, P1000 will be set until a specific Driving Cycle has been completed.
After the Driving Cycle is completed, P1111 will be set.

You can drive it with a bad o2 sensor, as far as I know.
BTW you should be able to post the actual photo in your post by using the photobucket direct link and pasting it in to the window that pops up when you click on the photo icon (looks kind of like a yellow postage stamp!) at the top of the post input box.
