Default XKR alarm problem

have a 1999 xkr soft top

When I set the alarm the internal door handles keep going in and out and the alarm sounds

The passenger side door does not lock itself but the drivers side does

Is there an easy way of resetting this?

regards

Neil

You may want to check your battery. These types of problems sometimes occur with a weak battery. Always the first thing to check.

Have you had your battery tested yet? Definitely step #1. It also sounds like a microswitch inside your door latch might be a problem...but the battery should be attended to first.

Roadside assitance just left, he spoke to Jaguar and between them they managed to open the car doors, they tell me it is a small micro switch / auto type flap that returns to thwe closed position once the ignition key is taken out, he lubricated the ignition chamber and all seems ok

a new one on me but happy to be up and runnig again so quickly
