Default The XKR has a new brother

Got a new to me Aston Martin db9. Man what a car. The XKR is fast but the db9 is really fast. I love them both i should take some pics side by side and post them to compare.

Outstanding! You have one of my realistic top-10 next cars at some point in the next 10 years... those DB9s are really becoming an amazing value and still look new with the current design language. Congratulations and enjoy it carefully.

One of the nicest automotive shapes in history. Enjoy! I have a 2010XKR coupe in addition to my 2002XKR convertible, and while there is no comparison in the drivability between the two (the 2010 is light years ahead), I still love my 2002 for its sensual lines, its grand tourer/cruiser feeling, and its top down, wind in what little hair I have left feeling.

Have fun making the decision as to which one to drive each day.

I'de love to have one of those myself but have held back as the nearest dealer is 6/12 hours away. I imagine what a round trip ticket would be for a Rollback truck.

My nearest dealer is 16 hours away! Same for the JAG. But it turns out they are easy to service. I would say easier then the XKR! My local shop thinks christmas came early when he can service the Aston. Great think about them is they only need annual servicing!

Join the 6speedonline forum for these. Their sticky is great. You can get a PDF of the factory workshop manual, there are great DIY guides and more. I've read the factory ws manual and it's one of the best I've ever read.

The cars are gorgeous, but the mountain scenery is even better. Enjoy....

If you're not a DIY'er like skeena, you should seriously consider buying a bumper-to-bumper Aston warranty like this guy --

My Aston Martin's Warranty Has Already Paid For Itself

Cheers,

Nice Volante! You won't regret buying a Aston! The big difference is, every time i drive the Aston it's a real treat. It's a event! Yes i Love the XKR great car and best car you can buy for the money! But the Aston is just special, hard to explain but very time il take a drive it gives me that special feeling. Now i understand what other Aston owners mean.

The other big plus is the gear box. The flippers are nice to. I am more in control with the Aston then with the XKR. I can drive it in high revs and make downs shifts when i want to down shift

Plus the sound is just epic! Both great cars in there own way. But i would NEVER Sell my XKR!
