Default Yaw Sensor location/Airbag fault

Hello, First post, and trying to solve a couple of niggles.

I have been running my 2003 XKR for a couple of years now, and get some occasional issues, but nothing much.

At the moment, I have a DSC fault, which comes and goes a bit. I had the code read by a mate, which indicates a Yaw Sensor fault.

The nature of the fault kind of suggests a dirty plug, or it would do it all the time - so my question is: Where is the Yaw Sensor located please?

Second niggle, and another one that comes an goes, is the drivers side airbag is showing an occasional fault. Fiddling with the wiring under the seat resolves it for a while, but it tends to come back if I go over a bump. Again, looks like a dirty plug to me - any comments to make please?

Many thanks in advance for any help.

Bruce

Both JEPC and JTIS probably say and are free to download. Online parts places also may say.

I have attached a picture of the part you are looking for. On my x-type it is on the passenger fender near the shock absorber. I looked over my XK8 and it is not apparent as to where it is located in the engine compartment. Look around on the tops of the fenders and around the steering column for the box in the picture. Sorry I can't help more.

The seat belt buckle has 2 sets of leads on it one is for the seat buckled indicator and the other is for the air bag pretensioner. Make sure they are plugged in tight. you may have to tie wrap it on if someones has snapped the connector lock. Also check the routing. they are loose under the seat. On my x-type it was getting caught when moving the seat and was pulling the plug out.

I finally had a chance to get into JTIS. The yaw sensor is mounted under the dash near the steering column on the 2003 XK's. It should be on the inboard side of the steering column. Between the column and the AC controls.
