Once the induction is off, the V can be cleaned and the cam cover sgasket done. Worth changing the oil pressure senders while you have good access too. They also can leak after a while.

Cut-open outer showing the coarse anti-clockwise thread. It is down this thread that the flexible outer is threaded into the fitting. This outer fitting cannot be swaged.

Barbed inner, this gets pushed/pulled into the hose. Barbs not that deep.

Here is the hardline ending and the flexible that leads to the pump fitting starting. This all fitted surprisingly well

Here is the hose appearing at the front of the crossmember. The hard line is secured to the oil cooler pipe and the anti-roll bar

Here is the front side of the rack showing the hose going towards the front. It runs along the top of the crossmember, through the gap under the engine mount, so keeping it away from the exhaust.

The front of the car is on the right in this photo. The photo shows the hose fixing to the rack tower (the hose connectors face reawards on RHS cars). The hose fllexible is bent through 180° and goes under the rack towards the front. I have protected it with a silicone hose where it goes under the rack.

TPS in place. All that is now needed is two tapped fixing holes, all adjustment being from the top.

The wingnut has been fiwed in place with Loctite 270, this requires 400°C to loosen, so the wingnut will work both to hold the spindle to loosen and tighten the locknut, as well as , locknut loosened, to adjust the spindle and thus the TPS position.

Spindle lower end perfect length for the Variohm Halll effect TPS. NOTE: the bottom of the capstand is not flat, there is a protrusion round the centre. Ben Kenobi kindly ran up a spacer (in brown) on his 3D printer to level out the surface

picasso's recently discovered diagram of dimension (accurate for using a Variohm TPS. Note that actually the OEM spindle diameter is just under 8mm at 7.85mm and 8mm will not fit! A fact I found out this morning involving a pleasant 30 minutes with 400 grit and the spindle in a drill!

From left to right: Shouldered spindle with 5mm threaded top, disc, locknut to lock disc to spindle shoulder, wingnut to be attached to threaded part with permanent Loctite 270 to act as adjuster and counter-torque when doing up the locknut.
