The hose is very important as it has a small take-off on it that provides the suction for the dizzy vent system. Close up of the broken fir tree fitting, the walls of which were was less than 1mm thick. The broken end was just a press fir into the nut and was easily driven out

Blue arrow:= fill hose; Green arrow = supply from pump to jets; yellow arrow = supply from tank to pump; purple arrow = tank breather, this goes up to a small filter and ends up inside the wing under the top of the cavity.
