Tricky part about removing the seats: The seat belt! I do not think that it is possible to remove the seatbelt on that end, which connects to the seat. Hence: removal of all the plastic covers on the inner B-pillar and remove the complete seat belt, which is actually a plus, as this allows you to also clean the seat belt with a water pressure cleaner and detergent. (I did not apply water onto the seat-belt coil though).

If you do not have this kind of gas pedal, which is fixed on the floor, you are lucky (my 2.1L, 2006 has a normal gas pedal (like the brake pedal next to it). I took a bright torch and figured out, how to remove that gas pedal (which is in the way when removing the carpet). So: WD40 onto the "floor-rail" and use the help of a hammer...

The arrow point at that ONE wire, which I had not yet insulated properly with electric tape. Before I started this "fix", EVERY connector was trailed by exposed wires.

The 2 arrows point to 2 places where the wire in the front has damaged insulation - and not to be seen: the wire in the back also had a bit of insulation mission. I forgot to take a picture of the other connector/wires, where it was even worse.

Then place a definitely waterproof tarps over it. Secured with clothline on the bottom thru all the lugs. Maybe you find one in silver... When I used this clear one, the effect was that I created a glasshouse/greenhouse and it got very hot inside and it discoloured the hailcover. Thus, my next improvement now is that I place a silver tarps over the clear tarps. I.e., even if the silver tarps is not perfectly waterproof, the clear one is.

Then put a proper hail-cover over it. (Using this without blankets and without my next layers would potentially scratch some sections of paint.)

After putting the plugs (drain- & check-plug) back on and filling about 5L of new ATF Fuchs Titan 4400 into the transmission, I was ready for the next phase: Letting a little helper start the engine very briefly - initially to confirm that the ATF would come out of the pipe, where I expected it - it did not, which is why I placed just pipes over everything to avoid a mess. As it turned out, the ATF came out by the green garden-hose, i.e. the upper pipe was the one coming FROM the transmission.NN

When I was done, I started the engine, let it run for a short while, went a few times thru all the gears with the foot firmly on the brake and the handbrake on, and then - with the engine running I opened again the ATF-level-check bolt, which is the big golden one on the right side in the picture. A small stream of ATF came out - I was happy with that. If more would hae come out, I would have left it open for a while longer, if nothing had come out, i would have filled in more ATF (with the engi

As my little helper had only a couple of minutes to help me, I had to contend with the old ATF coming out by the green hose. But the idea was, that it would come out of the clear hose so that I could see the colour-change better, AND the idea was to purge the ATF-chamber in the radiator that way as well: SO as you can see, the ATF comes out of the upper pipe, which I connected back to the radiator, and the clear waste-pipe goes to the lower connection point. I briefly started the engine again tw

That's one of the pans. (Btw.: Before blowing: Opening the drain plug only (and starting up the engine twice for about 3 seconds each, and letting the old ATF drip out over night I got 4L out of the system..., "Blowing" gave me another 1.5L after letting it drip again over night).

SO here we go: The "blow" method: After disconnecting the drain plug: With both pipes disconnected and the lower pipe replaced with a "waste-pipe) leading into the waste-pan I blew with the air-compressor-gun full power into the upper opening on the radiator and out came the ATF, which was stuck in the radiator by the waste hose. Then I carefully blew into the 2 pipes going to the transmission and out came the old ATF by the drain plug opening and by those 2 pipes (2 pans required!)

Note that it is necessary to insert the pipe-removal-tool fully and to twist it into a position, where it can "push" all 4 clips on the pipe-connector outwards.
