Anybody that sells Jaguar parts can get one for you. When I bought mine, I got it from Jaguar Parts Center (http://www.jaguarpartscenter.com/) for $345 including shipping.

Lately, I've been buying all of my parts from Nalley Jaguar in Roswell, GA (Jaguar Car Parts in Roswell | Nalley Jaguar Auto Parts). They are one of this forum's sponsors. You'd do best to *CALL THEM* so that you can tell them you're a Jaguar Forums member. They offer a substantial discount to forum members and they include free shipping on all orders over $25. With both of these considerations, they will likely be a little bit cheaper than any other source.

Regardless of who you order from, the current part number for the ACM is C2C40513. Just give them that part number and you'll save a bunch of ordering headaches.

Installed the ACM last night, works great, but I can't access the functions through the ipod while connected. I was under the impression the ACM would have the newest update loaded already.

The ACM comes with an old version of the Dension firmware, customized for Jaguar to assure compatibility with the steering wheel controls.

See the "firmware" section of this page:

Jaguar Audio Connectivity Module (ACM) Installation and Tips

Note that I've seen or received a few dissenting opinions about the value of this firmware upgrade. But I've seen/received more positive comments about upgrading than negative ones. Bottom line is that it's a matter of personal preference.

Try it. You can always switch it back.

Do they still have to be flashed by the dealer to work?

If you're asking about the ACM firmware - no, you can do it yourself.

If you're asking about enabling the CD-changer functionality that the ACM depends upon, then "maybe." My 2004 X-Type did not need any dealer ECU programming, and I've read a few private messages and public posts stating the same, but that's no guarantee that your ECU won't.
