I am looking for a few parts for my X300.
Drivers seat, (or atleast parts of)
will need something for steering column as it doesn't operate telescopically
need a new remote (315mhz)

So was looking for advice on wreckers.
I have seen Jag Works at Penrith and they look really good and Bruce seems great an knowledgable on the cars, but prices seem steep on some things (not sure if this is normal for these or what)
Any other good places to find X300 Jag parts?

 

Matt, you can also keep an eye out on Gumtree or similar where various wreckers advertise specific models of Jags they are wrecking….

 

Most certainly have done and will continue to do that.
At the moment have not seen any X300s

But yeah gotta love gumtree.

 

You can also try Triumph Rover Spares in Adelaide (Lonsdale) they are the only Jag wreckers I know of in Adelaide and they ship interstate.

contacted him today, unfortunately he cant help with the parts i need.
he recommended both Jag Works at penrith and the landrover place in SA.

Drivers seat (sovereign)
steering wheel reach motor spline
centre armrest cup holder
Glove box door locking mechanisim
sunroof headlinng (small piece at back of sunroof)

the 5 main pieces i am trying to hunt may prove to be a total headache.

 

Jag Works at Penrith sounds like a solid option and Bruce definitely seems knowledgeable.

 

However, if you're looking to save some money, you could consider checking out "cash for cars" places as well. They might have some used parts that could fit your needs, and you never know what kind of bargains you might find. Just keep in mind that these places may not have as many options as a specialized Jaguar dealership. Good luck with your search!
