Thumbs up

With a bit of a nudge from Ken(cat_as _trophy)
maybe we should try to make this our first JF members meet.
I am going to show up either way,10-15 minutes from my house and lots of cool cars to take photos of(the main reason I am going)

Sounds cool Clarke!

The banner should have arrived at that time, so if there were a few of you it could be fun, pics with the banner and a few sigs added too.

Thumbs up First Official Queensland ,Jaguar Forums meet

All right then, this will be the official first meeting of the Jaguar Forums Queensland members. I will PM all Qld members I am aware of over the next few days to make sure you are all aware of the details.
I do understand there has been some interest from a couple of you hundreds of km away, but no new interest so I am just making a date and hoping for the best. I will cattle prod Ken(cat_as_trophy) to round up a few Northern Rivers,Central Coast guys too make their way north if possible.
If you are interested in travelling to Brisbane from regional areas feel free to PM me or post here for info on local accommodation etc, and maybe meeting up on the Saturday to do a drive-by(no guns please) sight seeing tour of Brisbane.
Lets make this happen

My email is o1xjr@hotmail.com. Mobile number will be given by PM only, if you need it.

I will look a bit silly with 1 jag,1 chair and a banner from an international forum, but I will be there.

Greetings from the Coffs Harbour lurker,

Yep, word of your meet is getting around the NSW Mid North Coast, Coffs, Northern Rivers, Armidale onwards up the New England .... Now then, c'mon Queenslanders ... don't let Clarke and his allocated Fire Engine be overrun by a bunch of NSW Jags. I know there are many of you around Brisbane, Gold Coast and Sunny Coast ... and would love to think I could catch up with all you Jag-Lovers.

Great to see Michael's enthusiasm ... coz the first of these I attended many, many years ago was with my Dad when we had matching Armstrong Siddeley Saphires ... back before we both discovered Jaguars.

So ... Bung the date in the diary ... buy that chamois and jar of car polish you have been promising yourself ... and let us know you'll be there.

Best wishes all,
Ken

Hi Brandt, that makes three of us. Keep an eye on the thread, as we will work out details closer to the date.
I will add you to the roll call list, by the way the wedding pictures of your car you posted a while back were very nice.

How about a list Clarke, such as below?

This list can then be added to and used to bump the post as and when new members are added.......always a good idea so then people can see at a glance who is likely to be attending

1. o1xjr
2. MichaelJ
3. Puneyman
4.
5.

Bugger, just been informed the Historic bike racing is on at Lakeside IRW the same day, Sorry guys we will be going to watch bike racing and display our cars in the pits instead,it is only 1 hour to the north.

Nah,just a joke....if only I had known a week ago. ??? A day with my mates drinking beer and watching vintage bikes at redline or a day with you blokes in your socks and sandels eating cucumber sandwiches and sipping earl grey,I'll post you the JF banner.

I don't see any reason why we can't drink beer at the all British day, although in the spirit of all things British it shall have to be warm beer

I am thinking that i'll be a starter as well.

Sounds like I had better give her the once over with the spit and polish before the day.
Looking forward to the day.

Hi champir, look forward to seeing you there.
Do you mind adding a first name to show in the roll call list? Are you in Brisbane, maybe give us a location too.

Over the next couple of weeks I will be sending PM's to all Queensland members and work out if we are going to meet before we arrive at xt Josephs. That way we will be able to enter the grounds together and park together.
Maybe meet for a breakfast or coffee before. You guys start throwing some ideas around.

Jindalee McDonalds is about 10 minutes from the venue and right at the freeway off ramp.

No plans are made so pitch your ideas

Hi Clarke,

My name is Rob
I live in Bardon - so Tennyson is nearly local for me.
I'd be happy to catch up and roll in together.
