Default VIC/TAS get together

Is there any interest out there in a get together or cruise of some kind to meet people, admire cars and share experiences? Not sure how realistic this is and how scattered people are, just a thought.

G'day Steve,

I for one would be interested in a meet in Melbourne once the weather improves a bit. As you say it depends on how scattered people are and how many want to attend. What venue we pick is another matter, maybe we could organise a drive up into the Dandynongs or up the Hume to give out old girls a bit of a run.

Lets see how many others chime in,

Regards,
Jay

Great news fellas,

No longer a "might get a group together" ... You now have ... and pretty quickly too. Start beating the drum ... perhaps Jim (Admin) can help with a regional mailout by PM to all known members in your region ...

But it starts with all of you agreeing a date/venue/format. Just remember that we are about to take delivery of our new JaguarForums banner in Sydney for our All British Car Day on August 24. Brisbane follows on September 28 ... if you slot in between, we could post the banner from Cameron to you after Sydney, and ask you to then post it to Clarke in Brisbane.

Best wishes as you agree the details,
Ken

Sorry,Steve.I know where you are,

It was Stevecosta that I do not know his locale..But so far we have members north, south east and west of Melbourne? Centre being Crown Casino! I can think of worse places seeing I was there after the MCG on Sunday just gone.

They are sealed for life and you are supposed to have sold it before it runs out..seriously,you'd think it would obvious even if you had to follow the tubing back from the wiper blade.Or you know where it is and cannot open it? It lives in the lower right front corner.

Where's Jay when we need him??

Default Timing and venue

OK, if I have interpreted all the notes properly, so far we have 7 starters.

Locations are Bairnsdale, Moe, Alexandra , Bacchus Marsh, Frankston, Gisborne and Alexandra.....not many city folks so far.

Thinking of finding a place for an initial meet up that means everyone needs to drive a bit (1-2 hours). Maybe do a short run, lunch , organise something else if the interest is there. Latter events could be more location/road focused and move around a bit to share the travel.

An initial proposal. Meet outer east (say near Berwick, access via freeways) , short run around the back of the hills and lunch at a pub out there somewhere. People head off from there. Maybe mid September-ish when weather warms up.

Appreciate any thoughts/better ideas.

Hi guys,

Suggest you keep in mind that our new Jaguar Forums banner will be in use in Sydney (Aug 24) and Brisbane (Sept 28). If you are planning a mid Sept meet, I can post it to you, but ask you to then post it on to Clarke [o1xjr] for their Brisbane meet.

Banner will make an eye catching focus for meeting (Yeah, I know, it's just possible that your gleaming Jags may manage that!) ... and make sure you take (and post) plenty of pics for rest of us to enjoy.

Best wishes for a great day out!
