Default ABS light on

2004 x-type 3 liter AWD ABS light was on which eventually went to Check Engine light. OBD code reader diagnosed it as a left rear speed sensor not found. Replaced the sensor but still get a ABS activation grind after awhile at low speed before stopping, and the light comes back on. What might be the cause or where else should I look. All wheel sensors are reading when I drive with live scan on my OBD reader

Check the wiring loom for damage as well as the reluctor ring on the axle for that wheel as they can split and cause a false signal to the control module.

Another possibility is failure of the printed circuit board in the ABS control module.

You should look to post TECHNICAL questions in the MODEL forum unless you only want replies from Canadian members. One of the strengths of the forum is we have members from around the World and consequently a vast range of experience to call on.
