In the 70s, I was poor and on motorbikes, but my friend (from when we were six years old), had sports cars, culminating in a series of E-types. First off was a Coupe, then a white Roadster, and finally another Coupe.

I remember going with him to pick up the first car from a dealer in London down the Old Kent Road. Driving back, after about two miles, he turned to me and said, "Frase, I can't get it out of 2nd", to which I responded " Jeez, is the gearbox gone ? " "No" he said, "it's so fast" !! We had driven there in his part-ex, an MGB Roadster.

Stunning with red interior. I'm currently working to complete my Oct. build '64 OTS.....all black. 2nd restoration as I did body, interior, engine bay detail in '83. Stripped down and started over...ground up this time. If I didn't already have a perfectly good black interior, I'd go with red this time around...much more eye appeal. Did you do black with clear coat or polished out single stage finish?
Yours looks terrific.

Bob in Kansas City....Go Jayhawks!!
