Default 1971 xke a/c evaporator motor switch

1971 jag xke evaporator motor switch is not matching the correct speed on the blower motor that is selected on the switch. Medium speed works correctly but low an high seem to be backwards from the switch. All the wiring seems to be correct. The resister is hooked up correctly. Any ideas? Could the switch be bad?

Hi cnaman,

Welcome to the Jaguar Forums! It's great to have you with us.

I have moved your post from the forum for the XJ40 (saloons 1987-1993) to the forum for the E-Type (XK-E). Here you will find knowledgeable owners of similar cars.

In the meantime, please visit the New Member Area - Intro a MUST and post a required introduction so we can learn something about you and your Jaguar and give you a proper welcome.

Cheers,

Don

Sounds like the wiring is backwards either at the switch or the resister. I would bet its at the switch.
Cheers,
Bob
