E Type, Series 3, fuel tank rebuild
Dear forum,
I am finishing a new fuel tank, etc, and am at the final stage of placing the in-tank filter and bung in place. Turns out that the part sent doesn’t fit although the parts guys (Welsh and Moss) have the same part number. The guys at Moss had an engineering note that says it will not fit E Type. So what are you doing for an in-tank screen/filter/sock etc? I can’t imagine one is not needed of used. That is in fact how I got a bunch of rust and stuff sucked into my pump and fuel filter. Thanks in advance for responses!
