I try to keep up with UK/ EU travel bans but find it confusing sometimes!

Community borders were opened up here on 9th May so at least I could collect the car from Madrid. Pretty good run back ( 4 hours ) and the only leak was from the bottom hose off the power steering fluid unit. Booked it in to have a thorough check over by a local specialist even though It has a fresh ITV/MOT.

If you do get to travel this way, do let me know!

 

Tourism is about to open up for us but not including taking cars through France as yet except on business or as an overseas resident.

Last time I had my XK in Spain it had an injector fail near Burgos and the car spent a week in the Jaguar Dealer there. We continued our 800 km journey down to Competa in a VW Polo rental. The trip back up overnight to collect it was slow and my wife really didn't want to accompany me. The return drive in an empty XK with no passenger was exhilarating although the DGT did send me a hefty fine as a memento.

I hope the PS leak isn't serious.
