Hi,

I have an F-Type [ P300 , V6/V8 are crazy taxed here] . I am - since I bought it - on that section of the forum :

..and just bought an F-Pace 25t awd . More power and it goes over 100k euros here [taxes].. [ pic at the dealers, take delivery in 2020];

The F-Pace succeeds a Land Rover Discovery TdV6 [2006]. SInce it did not have a DPF , roadtax would go up to € 3500 pa [ now € 2980 pa ].

The F-Type I use for touring. Trips through the Alps and to southern Portugal [ 2600km one-way]. My wife isn't too keen on the seats in the F-Type, and she wants to sit high.
She does not drive the F-Type [ only the BMW ]. My son [19yr] and me drive in turns on the trips. To Portugal I drove down with him, he flew back and my wife flew down to Faro.

The F-Pace is mainly to 'run around' in the Netherlands, hop-over to DE and UK, for shopping eg. I am not too keen on driving the F-Type in the UK since the trunk roads are
not so wide and I have to drive a LHD in a RHD condition. With the F-Pace this is easier [ high position compensates for lack of insight in inversed traffic ].

Nice cars Dan. I just bought the F-type P300 from Germany, waiting for the RDW appointment for the number plates. Will post the photos as soon as I have it in my possession.

Yes and yes. The SVR works well for groceries and home improvement stores.

Hi Arajan, the P300 from Germany might give you a major headache. It appear you can not use 'secure' in the Netherlands, unless you get a subscription in Germany.
This is what my dealer warned me for when I thought about importing a D5 Land Rover earlier. Did you buy 'approved' from a German dealer ? Better check with them.

If you are interested in F-Type tours with other forum members, in the Benelux there is an active group and likely a tour on 30/8...

I build them a home in spring...

Hi Dan,Thank you for your inputs. I had contacted the JLR HQ with the extended warranty who asked me to contact the JLR in NL. Yes, as you said it is not possible here in NL unless you extended at the time of purchase (new). Yes, it is approved (2019 demo model with 5000 kms) and the JLR dealer gave me the extended warranty till 2024( 3 years factory + 2 years extended). As per the dealer you can purchase the warranty provided the car is less 5 years old and less that 50000 kms. My import was taken care by dasimport in Zaandam. I didn't want to go through all the transport/RDW/taxes etc.

btb, nice cars you have have. Yes, the porch looks nice. Thank you for the Benelux link. I hope to join in some time soon.

Here she is.
