So here is one for you all...( 2020 F-pace SVR, ultra blue, purchased 5/31/21 w/43 miles on it, now has 1500)
So I'm driving from Portsmouth, NH to Cheshire CT, 198 miles 1 way, Drive from Portsmouth, NH 95... 495... i90(mass pike), 70-75,80,85+... Stop at the first rest stop on the mass pike for bio-break, grabbed protein bar , bottle of water and jumped back in jaggy.... 80+ into CT, pass a few cars on the right just over the border into CT.. " DING DING ... and get on the information center display " Engine oil over filled " .. Hummmm. Stop at the next exit pull into a gas station.. Open the hood, get back in , turn on the car ( NOT the engine) , go into oil level " oil level OK" . Start driving again keep it at 75-80 again ... no more issues. ... OK hummmm
Start it up Monday morning , again " engine oil over filled " .. OK I'll baby it to North Haven CT Jag/LR dealer ( 5-miles away) . Tell them what happened, I'm out of state, blah blah blah. Master tech gets his scan tool , jumps in plug it in, Says " the oil level is at 97%, but the info screen says it's over filled , OK let me bring it in and call Jaguar engineering " .. 25 mins goes by. He comes and finds me says that Jaguar engineering just sent out 4-software updates, instrument cluster, Engine management ECU, infotainment, body control module software updates this past Friday night and that my vehicle needs all of them.. OK fine how long? ... 60-90 minutes max he said .. OK fine no worries I have another conference call to be on . I'll just walk around the lot on my call , thanked him for updating me and for getting it in quickly.
They washed & vacuumed it , dried it off.. no charge , ( 1500 miles on it now) ... great.. couldn't ask for better customer service and esp me being from out of state , just pulled in for a problem.
Start it up.. immediately notice , it doesn't to the SVR loud pops & burbles on startup... hummmm, reach down hit the exhaust button step on it .. Definitely quieter .. Go back in ask the tech if he knew if they changed the exhaust tones on startup and over all.. No, he called Jaguar engineering again ..." We'll look into that and get back to you " .
Engine oil warning is definitely gone, no issues driving down the twisty merit parkway 20+ over the posted limit ( smug-face) into NYC for meeting and returning to CT, also Apple carplay isn't as slugfest anymore , and no more black screen when shutting off, fill-in up and jumping back in without locking the doors.
Anyone else have their software updated on the SVR and notice the same exhaust tone & loudness issues?
The whole reason why I bought the SVR was the amazing distinctive exhaust sound, tone, loudness ... grrrrrr. ( it is loud when you are really really on it though)
oil level sensor replaced , and free 2000 mile oil change completed... They had to drain the oil pan to replace the sensor , so they also changed the oil filter while they were at it . So far it's reading normal hair above the center of the " OK" zone "

Curious if you were able to do anything about getting the original exhaust sound back, did they ever call you back ? It must've been the Engine Management ECU update that muted the sound ?
I just got my 2020 Certified Pre-Owned SVR from out-of-state and it showed Overfilled when I checked the oil right after I got it. I took into my local dealer and they sucked some out to get back to the OK level.
I made an Appointment for next month since the original in-service date was October 2019 and I'm still going take advantage of the free EliteCare service even though it was just Certified in June 2021.
I definitely want to make sure when it's in they don't apply any software updates to change the exhaust though, the sound is just amazing.
Oil is OK now but this is what it showed the day I received
The F-Pace SVR is AWD like the post-2015 F-Type R and has the exact same engine and sump.
On the F-Type sub-forum there are numerous reports of the "oil overfilled" warning appearing straight after a dealership service, and the cause has been determined as idiot dealerships overfilling. Coz the RWD takes 7.25 litres but the AWD takes 6.5 litres which they ignore or forget or simply don't know and they chuck 7.25 in the AWD, hey presto overfilled!
Moral of the story - if you have an AWD with the AJ133 (or AJ126 V6) and choose to have a dealership do an oil change then double check the oil level straight after, before you drive off.
And plenty of reports that telling them beforehand "remember it's an AWD so it takes only 6.5 litres not 7.25 litres" often doesn't help.

So after all the software updates and me noticing the sound was different . They applied forced a re-flash of all ECUs and the SVR distinctive exhaust loudness was back .
My oil level issues were 100% a faulty level sensor , after the sensor was changed out , They refilled with 7.5qts of oil and dash and tech tools read the level perfectly

I get all the above, but in my instance , the oil level sensor was 100% the issue on my highly problematic vehicle ... which is currently dead at the dealership in a service bay again .... ( and for the last 2+ weeks, waiting for parts still)

Great you were able to get the sound back, I'm sure there a lot of F-Type owners who have had theirs unknowingly muted and would like to get their ECU's re-flashed, I wonder if all dealers will re-flash if customer wants it back ?
Also interesting they put in 7.5 quarts and it reads OK.
Yeah, that surprised me too. Is the capacity of the F-Pace different than the AWD F-Type's AJ133 V8 (due to different pan design)?
Don't know that's what the service invoice stated , they did it so anything goes wrong it's on them . Plus it's still at the dealer waiting for parts for almost a month now.
The pans are the same. Early documentation on the V8 was wrong which led to the overfill situations. To be on the safe side, when you get the car back, do a early oil level check through the menu. (And, be sure the car is on level ground.) If there's a problem, you don't want to deal with the aftermath, even if it's "their" problem.
