Default Seeking advice from the forum on selling my 2023 Jaguar F-Pace SVR Edition 1988

This is not a for sale post, I'm just seeking advice from the forum.

I'm going to be selling my 2023 Jaguar F-Pace SVR Edition 1988. The car has only 585 miles, has full PPF on the car, and 2 key fobs. Car is located in Northern Virginia.
Should I sell it back to the dealer or deal with doing a private sale? What would be a fair asking price?
Need to sell this fast as I'm moving. All comments welcome.

You're lucky you have a SVR. You can drive off an F-Pace 25T from the dealer on the same day or 2 but the SVR take months.to get one

Wow - that's not many miles!! Is selling due to the move?

I'm no expert. But am looking at buying an SVR myself so have talked to quite a few people on jt recently. Just my view - think you're going struggle to sell privately. Maybe you get lucky and find someone who wants it and is looking for a deal, but it's immediately a '2 owner car' and there are transparently plenty of 1988 editions around for sale new. And some dealers motivated to sell. So will be hard to see why someone doesn't take the 'low risk' path of new at dealer.

My guess is the dealer may be a better route as it's so new they might be able to position well with CPO warranty etc

Ultimately depends what you paid for it and how under water you are on what they will offer

Maybe ask dealer for what they will offer and post back here and others can opine. Think issue is that an individual will pay more in the end but it could take months to find someone. And people will be skeptical of a new car being sold so early.

As great as the '1988' is it is a very niche car. Definitely not a large pool of buyers as a result. As BritCars mentioned above there are a few of the 1988's that have been sitting on the market. Dealers are willing to sell them below MSRP.

Dealer will lowball you for sure. Definitely let us know what they offer but my guess would be $85K at most.

I actually had '1988 Edition' fever a few months back so please report back what the dealer offers and then give me the opportunity to at least match it

Doing research right now on a 2023 F Pace SVR Edition 1988. When doing vin check on one I just found in VA, it turns out it was sold to the previous owner in 2023. No doubt it is this exact vehicle. Crazy.

That’s a rare spec with super low miles and full PPF so you’ll get more money in a private sale. Dealers will lowball you for a quick flip. Try listing it around 100K and see what interest you get. If time is tight get quotes from both a dealer and online buyers to compare. Should sell quick if priced right.

The OP was looking to sell a couple of years ago. Think the resurrection of this thread is because you are looking to buy one? If so, what's the pricing like and how committed are you to the 1988 edition? You can get a low mileage 2025 SVR 575 edition at a good price now (one near me with 3500 miles on the clock for $82k. That's sad as it's the same as my car and that's a lot of depreciation for a few miles...$7 of depreciation per mile driven. Ouch...

Yeah, a few weeks ago I discovered this forum while researching this car. Turns out the first owner of the one I am looking at sold it with approximately 600 miles in Virginia. Just thought it was a funny coincidence.

I have placed a deposit and will be flying in tomorrow evening to pick it up. It was listed for around $65k with 14000 miles.
