Default Steering Buttons Not Working after Repair

Hi, I have a 2017 F-Pace, recently the time chain slipped and damaged a few things, we repaired engine but obviously had to take engine out to fix all. When put back in the buttons on the steering wheel will not work, so we are getting lots of info on the screen such as Cruise control off etc. We had a quick look to see if anything was unplugged and they seem fine. Nothing comes up on the computer and I tried turning battery off and back on, any help would be greatly appreciated?

Also, the airbag warning light comes on and wont clear, I use to be able to fiddle with wires below driver seat and that would fix it, but no joy this time?

Possibly a connection has been disturbed or disconnected when the engine was taken out. If it was me, I will take a look on everything that was taken out during the process and review all the things that were put back in most espcially the wirings. Use a flashlight and trace all the wirings. Be just like Sherlock Holmes and you'll solve the problem. Review the fuses as well
