UV blocking and a radar detector
I just ordered an f-pace and have been reading about the (normal) windshield blocking easy pass and a few guys with the heated window saying a radar detector doesn't work well unless it is the cut outs on up near the mirror. I live in between 2 speed traps. It is 4 lanes, down hill and a 30 MPH speed limit. The cop doesn't even bother with the car, he just jumps out from under a little bridge to stop you. I like getting the extra reminder of the bridge troll while driving home.
Does the normal windshield really interfere with a radar detector?

How does the coated windshield work with just the standard coated one ? I just pickup up my face the other day and the ezpass definitely needs to be in one of those two upper parts by the rear view mirror
I have had my car for 2500 miles now. I don't have the heated windshield, just the normal one. I put the toll thing behind the black dots on the right side of the mirror. The radar detector is as high and against the mirror as I could get it. I think the range is reduced. I have a max360c and I think the signals get stronger when I pass the source so radar signal is coming from behind. Part of the reason that I bought the max360c is because it is supposed to connect to wifi and get data from other people's radar detectors without having to involve your phone. It doesnt work on the Jags wifi. The escort people dont know why.
