Can we assume that you have an owner's manual? But simply: the release lever is located in the driver's foot well, just forward of the door opening.
The manual is your best friend for information about your car.

It's in the passenger footwell in the UK - damn inconvenient.

Gentlemen
Thanks for your quick reply. Gregory, by the way I have to part company with this F-Type. If you know of anyone on the island this beautiful weather is what this car was made for.

I was thinking about that the other day. I would have thought that as a British car, the convenience would have been given to the British market.

You would think so but JLR (really Tata) know which side their bread is buttered on - the left side of the pond - so it's all slanted that way.
Why do you think that all the brochures and ads show LHD, even in Blighty and Oz and other RHD markets?

On the factory tour we were told that the ratio is something like 70:30 with more left hand drive due to sales outside UK.

The Gen 1 MINI (‘02-‘06) did defer placement of the hood release to the British market, placing it on the right side of the car. Subsequent generations, however, the release appeared on the left side.

All my previous Jags were like that, too. I wondered if they were being safety conscious for us Brits so if we break down and have to open the hood/bonnet on the road we do it away from the passing traffic.
