2017 F type connectivity help
After months and hours spent on the phone with JLR, my JLR tech (working on the car) and HERE, still no farther ahead on figuring out how to update the NavMaps that are in the car. JLR says it's HERE, HERE tells me to log in to my account IN THE CAR. Well and good, except that there is nothing in any menu that brings up a NAV log in screen. This F, MY2017, but built late 2016 does NOT have SD card or SIM card ports. It does have USB ports in the console, and has InControlTouch Plus (CD player in the console) . Creating a Maps & Services account and logging in only gets that far. When asked to enter my VIN, it's not accepted (and yes, it IS the correct VIN). I found this set of instructions, but there is NO connectivity option within "Settings" in my car.
To set up connectivity in a 2017 Jaguar F-Type, you can connect to the internet or pair a Bluetooth device.
Connect to the internet
Select the Settings icon
Select Features
Select Connectivity
Choose Hotspot, Wi-Fi, or Mobile Data
If using Mobile Data, turn on mobile data in your phone's settings
Wait for the touchscreen to display a 4G or Wi-Fi icon
While I appreciate greatly, the help owners of other F models/years have offered, PLEASE only respond if you have a 2017 with ICTPlus and USB ports.

That's the same system I have in my 2017 SVR. I thought you ordered it via a usb stick and plug that into the usb inside the center armrest console? Ordered via the Jaguar.here website.
Sounds like maybe there is an issue with it not recognizing your vin?
Although I have to admit I do it all on Waze / Spotify and iPhone these days and don't use any of the screen system...

Yes, it is an issue with HERE not accepting my VIN.
Car is still at the dealer and my JLR tech is trying more things today.
Perhaps I need to stop being pleasant on the phone with HERE. It's not my style to be a PITA, but maybe I need to do that.
