Arrow 2021 F-Type In Person Analysis I Must Say This Model Is The Best Version

I had a chance to swing by local Jag dealer to check out the 2021 F-Type Convertible in person. I did a side by side comparison of the pre facelift model vs the facelift model. I must say in person the 2021 is by far the best looking version of the F-Type model. Yes I am a fan of the the pre facelift model but the 2021 is something else. The 2021 has a very menacing look about it its very hard to explain but I got to say this one of the best looking cars ever and I am saying this very strongly. Whomever designed the facelift model they deserve one of the highest awards possible. Pictures do not do this car any justice I encourage others to check it out in person because when I went to the dealer someone traded there pre-facelifted model for the 2021 model and I understand exactly why.

Why not just buy a Mustang if you like that look?

My missus has the 20 XE with that general face, and on the road with the LED's on etc it looks awesome. Menacing but classy. I'd have the 21 F Type in a flash, but not if it cost me money to swap because ultimately the previous is very pretty too and I barely see my car from the front anyway.

I think it will all make more sense when the '21 XJ is shown, I have high hopes for that.

GT350 seems AWFULLY tempting... (and not so much for the looks either)

I'm not knocking the v8 sound, but I'd suggest that the sound from these is deeper, louder, and wouldn't suffer by comparison although that would be a matter of taste. I've never heard them side by side so it is hard to pick the differences.

Hey guys what are you talking about. I have used both the engine, the V8 and the V6, and I know very well the difference. Im sorry no way to compare. Also I dont like AT ALL the rasp V6 F-type sound. You cant litterally overtake a veichle without make it sound like that rasp betwen 1.500 to 3.000. If you overtake you must always floor and get it sound over 3.500 or you get that shitty sound!
Anyway if you talk about power, torque is higher, even if you compare the same 450 hp , the V8 has more torque than a V6 tuned at the max and you can overtake effortlessly with a deep V8 low rev sound
And if you want tune the V8 you get easy over 600 hp.
You cannot compare, sorry guys , V6 no thanks.
If there wasn't the choice of the 'detuned' V8 F-type , I would get another car

I think you missed the fact that folks above with the tune have also gone for the VAP V8 exhaust.

You're not overtaking anyone in 1500-3000 anyway.

I prefer the 8's sound.
I prefer the 6's option to shift my own gears more. Plus, with the extra pedal I have that much more control to make exactly the noises I want, exactly when I want. Another argument for the extra driver control afforded by the third pedal.

Yeah I didnt want to seem to be arguing (which I am not) but I would think the V6 with VAP pulley and tune and VAP quad exhaust has a deeper burble at low revs than the 8 (I previously had a 5.0 XKR pre and post X pipe mod so I am familiar with the sound as well as driving the R quite a bit on Jag days at the track). I would agree that the 8 doesnt need to rev as freely as the 6, but I'm not complaining because the high revving nature of the 6 under hard acceleration takes you up and over 4000RPM which is really the insane point for engine note. But I have always liked a higher revving v8 for engine noise, just a personal preference. My favorite was my 4.2 XF which had a paramount exhaust on it, the sound was amazing from that however performance wise .... well 0 - 100kph in about 6.5 isnt going to set any records, is it? Barely noticed that because the sound was so good.

I like it also. I like the R's new seat look, and the front end, rear looks same to me. Coming from a V6S it would be a power upgrade but I spected one out at $117k! I think I'll wait a year and get a slightly used one for$85-$90k or just keep my low mileage(21000) and paid off one.

Im not a fan of the new face lift, I think it looks plain. I think my 2017 has a more aggressive front end and better looking tail lights, maybe I am bias, I love my baby.
