2022 P450 R-Dynamic Exhaust question
Does anyone have insight or tips on how to optimize the cracks/pops in the exhaust.
My F-type will do it, occasionally...but it's seemingly random/inconsistent.
I have the active exhauast on...but sometimes it pops when laying off the gas at 3500 rpms...other times not. Sometimes really high rpms, other times not.
I can't see any consistency in getting it to pop...I've read posts/seen vids on how getting it up to 3500/4000 rpm and then letting off the throttle, and then tapping it, but I've also seen that this doesn't work for the newer ones.
I know I can pull the fuse, which I likely will...but that just keeps the active exhaust mode on, right? It doesn't open it up even more than when it's on normally, I believe.
I'd love any input applicable to 2022 MY. Thanks!

It has been mentioned before that the newer models seem to have a "break in" period for the exhaust system. I can attest for that with my 2021 F Type R. It started to have a more lively exhaust note with the exhaust opened, either in the Dynamic mode or just by pressing the button on the console at about the 2500 mile mark.
I have tried running it up to about 4000 RPM's with the transmission in the manual mode, holding that gear and letting off the throttle and I get plenty of crackles and pops. Tapping the throttle didn't seem to make any difference. In the manual mode it also gets plenty of crackles and pops when downshifting in preparation for a corner.
I also removed the Fuse # 15 one afternoon and went for a swift mountain drive up and down the State Highway. It was wonderful, but I decided it may be a little too much for regular driving.
I would put some miles on the car and then decide if you want to make any changes.

You give good advice, Dwight...but I just didn't have the patience, lol.
I removed F15 fuse...and the exhaust is definitely more aggressive.
I think the deep rich baritone exhaust sound that Meridian pumps into the cabin is also tied to that fuse...as the exhaust seems deep, but not as deep, as with the fuse. But it's definitely louder, with more raspiness and growl to it. Pops and burbles are more plentiful, but you still have to time the throttling to get it. (Note, I have a 2022 P450....not the R)
