I only have 12K on the car and brought it in twice after the tune for covered yearly oil changes/service. The car has had no issues. I told the dealer to not update the software as this would mess up the tune. I am assuming the computer read-out would have alerted them to its presence but they never mentioned anything other than the car being in great shape. Even after I had it lowered, the service manager didn't seem concerned. He just asked me what I thought about it and admired the lowered posture. The dealer I have gone to has always been super nice.
From what I remember reading about doing a tune or other alteration, the warranty is still good for those items not affected by the mod. If you speak with Stuart@VAP, he can give a better feel of exactly how safe the tune is but I know they've done hundreds of cars without any issues. OTOH, like all things in life, there is a small risk that I was willing to take so you have to weigh that out. Had I blown the engine, it's not such a big deal for me at this stage of my life [late 60's]. If this had been one of the 911's I had in my 30's/40's, that would have been another story. I just figured why not have the car the way I want it, then be reasonable and hope for the best!
thank you so much. amazing information. I think lowering it is the way. Just finished up more homework on my warranty issue. yup you're right and the warranty was added after, I bought it used.
Just found this thread. I have had my 2018 Sport for 2 years and I absolutely love it. No mods aside from winter tires as it's a daily driver come rain or snow. No regrets and it keeps me smiling along with anyone else comes along.

Some shots of my dad's 400 Sport on the Carbon Rotor OEM wheels. I bought the wheels to be track wheels for my car, but my dad likes them so now the 400 Sport wheels are my track wheels.
I was hoping to track his car at my last track day, but I spent all the time in my car as I was trying to learn stickier 200 treadwear tires.
My wife and I just purchased a 400 Sport a couple weeks ago from a private seller. We had test driven a 400 Sport, a '15 R, '17 R convertible, and '17 R coupe prior. As much as I enjoyed the power of the V8, it didn't seem practical as a daily driver, which is what we were looking for. Also, my 6'5" frame did not fit well in the 2017 and earlier models due to the thicker seats so a 2018+ was a must. I searched for a 2018+ AWD V6 coupe that was well maintained for a couple of months. Luckily we found a Santorini Black 400 Sport that had been well taken care of and had just 32k miles on it. The seller was a genuine Jag enthusiast (this was his 10th and he was selling it to get a new F-Type) and the entire transaction was a pleasure and fluid even though we were 900+ miles apart. The car was a blast to drive through the Smoky Mountains on the way home and we have been loving it since. Happy to see others are still enjoying this limited run F-Type!
Thank you everyone for the great replies!
Yes, I'm trying to find experiences/testimonials to help justify the price increase of a 400 Sport over the standard 'S' AWD or 'R dynamic' AWD
It is my number one color choice, I like the interior and the high contrast stitching. I'll be in and out of it all day, so the newer seats (with heat and ventilation) which I've read are more comfortable and allow more headroom/legroom, are a nice bonus as well. It has less than 4K miles on it and 2 full years of warranty.
Problem is, its $10K more than the '17 S's I'm currently looking at. But they also have 25K to 35K miles.
Decisions...decisions...
I think the lower miles is worth the price difference
Bought mine in July 2024 here in Canada with only 14,000km (8700 miles)… absolutely love it! Almost every day someone tells me how much they like the car… and I tell myself the same.
Canadian Sunset Amazing lines…

Reason: Mistake
Looking for a new F-type. The only SVR's I found at a reasonable price had carbon ceramics which are a hard 'no' for me.
Was tempted to get another R AWD but also acknowledged there was roughly a zero percent chance I wouldn't upgrade to the larger supercharger in 2026 (15K+ installed).
I did get an opportunity to track my father's 400 Sport and found I liked how it dealt with fast transitions better and liked that it felt a bit sportier than the R on the street.
The R absolutely had better ride quality here on NOLA's shitty streets, but the 400 Sport felt a bit sportier and up on it's toes on the rare bits of smooth pavement.
Guess I need to update my signature.
I bought a Black 400 Sport. I think the silver is a bit prettier, but there were none available when I was looking, and my dad probably would have never let me live it down.
I took a look at the different V6S's available, but finding one with the sport seats, flat bottom steering wheel, Super Performance brakes, and either checkered flag or British Dynamic ground effects proved to be a bother.
Edit: Title should read 'market' not 'marker'

I may be a bit biased but I think the black looks better in these pictures than the silver. Congrats on finding one..dB
Thanks! I may have biased towards the pics where the black popped a bit more, but no disappointments in my choice. (All the pics I processed available here: https://flic.kr/s/aHBqjCfEyY)
As another bonus for the 400 Sport, the default seems to be for a 'grey pack', my Dad's car has the black pack, but I think the 'grey pack' (not sure if that's a thing) works well, and is a nice match for the 400 Sport wheels.
There are now 2 sets of them sitting in my father's house, and a nice match the carbon blades I bought for my car.
Carbon Blade wheels look great. I picked up my first nick on my wheels driving through Chicago a few weeks ago - loads of road works and I hit a deep pot hole - luckily no tire damage but the rim wasn't so lucky.
Im still trying to found the guy in Columbus who bought the rebuilt title 400. Still can't believe he aint on the forums. Kamil auto or something like that?
@Jamal302 Beautiful duo you have, lets add a white one to finish the series haha I agree that silver is better, but in case of 400 sport I would say the white one is even better - more contrast to the satin gray. I have been looking for one for more than a year, until I gave up and buy V6S silver with gloss black accents that looks great too (to me at least). I envy you the dashboard contrast stitching tho.
Silver and black pack are a fantastic look for the Jag coupe shapes, the XKR looked really good in it as well, shows off the curves really nicely. But I think that on the road with the LED's going the dark colours look a bit meaner and exotic, maybe the darkness lowers them and the LEDs makes them look wider (you can see I've put some thought into this, lol). And white with black contrasts is a great look too. I went with that for my F Pace SVR, which we call Olaf (plates 0L4FF) because - well - it's white.

Ouch, I feel your pain.
Wound up some road rash myself this last week as well due to crap roads. If the carbon blades aren't damaged then repair might be far cheaper than replacement.
I ordered some rim protectors when I bought the wheels but they haven't arrived yet.
I actually did a rim audit on Ebay to see if the rims would be easier to replace than 400 Sport defaults
(8 crack or bend repairs, 2 damaged beyond fixing with my Gyrodynes on the R), three cheers for New Orleans infrastructure.
I have a 2018 jaguar f type 400 sport convertible awd . This car is extremely fun .

you definitely have plenty of power this v6 supercharged screams when pushed hard. The 400 comes loaded with options . Climate package heated steering/seats heated and cooled/heated front windshield this an awesome feature in cold winters in Massachusetts plus meridian surround sound. My car new in 2018 was $102 000 . I bought it used in 2023 with 15 000 miles for $43 000 in my opinion a bargain for this car. Obviously you have to take of it correct oil and watch out for coolant leaks so you don’t fry this all aluminum engine. The 2018 has upgraded coolant pipes
jaguar put a lot effort in to this car . So you have to appreciate it !!!!!! This car definitely will be a future classic. Drive it and enjoy every drive. GREAT CAR!!!!!!!!!!!!
