Default AC only blows ambient temperature

Hey guys,
I took delivery of a used 2015 f-type recently and last weekend was the first time it was warm. Driving on the freeway was unbearable. I used a termometer to measure the difference between ac on and off and it’s the same. I also see the compressor clutch engage and the engine compartment makes a larger noise when the ac is turned on. Has anyone have a similar experience? There is a tsb out for the AC direct pressure sensing valve which might be it.

Turn the temp settings to “LO”. If still not better, you likely have lost the refrigerant charge. (Leak)

It sucks when the entertainment system blows and the AC doesn’t.

It was set to low and recirculation on. I don't think it's low on refrigerant as the condenser clutch engage but I'll bring it to the shop and have it checked it out. I am just worried they will spend a lot of trying to diagnose when it was was this tsb.

I never had much luck with the system using anything other than "Auto" and just adjusting the temp as desired.

After 4 years, if previous owners didn't run the a/c it's likely the seals will have dried out and let the refrigerant leak away. A/c has to be run!

I was wondering about the specifics of doing this.

After all, in AUTO isn't A/C supposed to run?

I've tried pressing the AUTO switch on the dash on-and-off but I can't tell if the compressor is engaging, either from a sound or a change in outlet temp. (And our A/C WORKS).

From our other cars, I got in the habit of using A/C during the winter to keep it 'exercised". I know that SOME makes run the A/C every 5 or 10 drive cycles for a short while, just for this scenario.

My car makes a much larger noise when the ac is on and if you have a light, you can see the condenser clutch engage if the ac is on.

It could just be bad seals as the car sat on a lot in ne for a while before being sold. I’ll go to a shop this week to check the refrigerant pressures this week.

That's my understanding. I suspect Jaguar recommends running on Auto to avoid any such issues.
