Default activate the parking aid while moving forward?

In case anyone does not know what I am talking about, I’ve attached a picture below. This thing randomly pops up several times when I was parking, but I couldn’t find a way to activate manually, the screen shows rear camera image all the time. According to Jaguar, if push the parking “hard button” on the side of screen, the parking aid should show up, but it’s not the case on my car. Is there something wrong with my car or I’m just doing it in the wrong way? Thanks for everyone replying!

It won't work at speeds in excess of 10mph - how fast are you going when you try to activate it?

I try to use it when I am entering the parking space, so it won’t be more than 5 mph I guess

On mine, the sensors will only activate if they sense something. If I slowly drive forward toward a wall, I will hear the beeps of the the sensors. If I press the button while this is happening, I will get a picture of the car with proximity bands, alerting me of how close I am.
If I engaged the rear camera first, driving back, then I will only get the beeps moving forward. To get the image and the proximity bands for the front, I will have to hit the hard button twice.
I think that changed after model year 2015

I can hear the beeping sound when appoaching an object, but it seems there is no picture of the band showing when I press button, from what I remembered. I will try one more time tomorrow though.
Mine is a 16, it might be the same. will also see if hitting button twice works.

I'm not sure exactly when, but on my 2015, the front sensors do come on automatically, but not the image. I have to press the button for the front. The rear camera comes on automatically. So, if the rear camera is on, and I put the car in D while parking, I do get the sound from the front sensors, but to get the image, I have to press the button once to close the rear camera, and then a second time to bring on the front image with the bands.
Took me a while to figure this out

you can activate the rear view camera on mine at any speed but parking sensors and parking display only show in reverse or at low speed

Topic has been discussed not even so long ago, which does remind me of posting an update...

At least one way by which they get activated (AT MY16) is when going over N, whether it is from R over N to D, or D to N, and back to D.

I will check if that works on 2015 as well

On my MY18 pressing the button while moving forward slowly activates the front and rear sensors but the screen only shows the car outline and the sensor readings, no rear camera view. At speed, pressing the button has no effect.

On my '17 R the rear-facing camera can be activated at most any speed. Sensors, not so much. My youngest son liked to watch it going through school zones at 35MPH but you don't get it by pushing any of the hard buttons. Rather, you have to select CAMERA on the first screen on a left from normal screen) & then use the touchscreen to select CAMERA
